Prehabilitation is the Gateway to Better Functional Outcomes for Individuals with Cancer.
This program introduces components of rehabilitation to patients prior to undergoing intensive medical interventions, such as surgery, chemo and/or radiation in order to optimize function and improve tolerability to the intervention.
Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a side effect from cancer therapies that leaves you with a feeling of whole body tiredness that is not relieved by rest or sleep. This fatigue can prevent normal functioning and can adversely impact quality of life. There is no doubt that structured fitness, (strength, cardio, flexibility and nutrition) play an important part in a sucessful battle with cancer and during the recovery stages with cancer.
